Cozy Nook 2018-10-08T13:31:21+00:00

Do you like your Hostel clean, with delicious food, in a good position and with ambitious staff that does everything to make you feel at home?

Then you should definitely visit me at Cozy Nook, Da Lat.

Let me introduce myself:

My name is John, I’m 20 years young and I’m travelling Viet Nam since 1st June. My plan was to drive from Hanoi to Ho Chi Minh City, but I got stuck here. I stayed in Cozy Nook for about 2 weeks as a guest because I felt at home from the first minute and met some really nice guys doing their holidays here. After I flew with them to Singapore for about 2 weeks, I started working at Cozy Nook.

The hostel is run by a really friendly family. They ask you how your day was when you come back, explain everything you can do around here, clean the whole hostel several times everyday, and serve really f*cking delicious food.

  • Free Cocktail (Monday, Wednesday)

  • Lovely Staff

  • Professional Concert Every Week

  • WIFI

  • Delicious Family Dinner 3$

Dorm Room

This is the perfect option for every budget backpacker and people who don't want to be alone. There are dorm rooms with 4 to 9 beds and the showers are just incredible modern in comparison with some other hostels I've stayed in. Breakfast is included.

Price: $7.50

Pivate Room

You enjoy it when it's quiet or you want travel together with your partner? Then the Private Room is the perfect choice for you! It costs only $25 per night. If you are two persons, that would be only $5 more per person than the Dorm Room. Breakfast is of course included.

Price: $25 per Private Room

The breakfast here is really good! It changes everyday. On one day there is bread with jam, another day you will get a hard boiled egg with cereals (with some kind of yoghurt), or you'll get fried eggs with bean soup. You will also get fresh fruits everyday and weasel poop coffee or ginger tea. Doesn't that sound awesome? Breakfast is everyday from 7AM to about 10AM, but there are exceptions here and there 😉

Family Dinner

Ooouh boy, the food here is just delicious. Everyday at 6PM the Family Dinner starts. It's perfect to get to know more people, talk about what things you need to try and to enjoy the food. The food is a little bit different everyday, but usually there is rice, all kind of different vegetables, cooked potato/carrot/chicken, pork, spring rolls (those are vegetarian) and soup. Everything gets served on big plates and everyone has their own bowl to take whatever and as much as they want.

Price: $3

You are vegetarian? No problem! There will be enough vegetarian food for you! They will even prepare some vegetarian food extra for you (like mushrooms, tofu, etc).

  • Tour on the motorbike

Greatest hostel i’ve ever been in. Food was good, staff was great and the beds and rooms were perfect as well. Furthermore the hostel arranged all my tours and bus drives. Canyoning is like on of the best things you can do in Vietnam. Definitely a must do. Countryside was also a great tour, easy way to see all of the highlights in Da Lat. People that were staying in the hostel were awesome! So partying in the club was quite crazy as well!

Cozy Nook hostel has the rating it deserves. The food provided (free breakfast and paid family dinner) are incredibly good. It's also a great way to meet other travellers. The staff is amazing and super friendly. They helped us book sleeper buses to Hoi An and gave recommendations on places to go in Dalat and how to get there. The rooms were perfect. The beds were comfy and there is plenty of extra amenities on the roof. Highly recommended if you're in Dalat!

Exceptional hospitality. I have to give them recognition for the thought placed into the little details. For example, a traveller's birthday happened to coincide with his stay at Cozy nook and after dinner, the hosts had prepared cake for the guy. Another guest had to do an interview online, and the hosts arranged for a quiet room for her to do it in! The family dinner is also the main highlight of the stay where you get a proper setting to meet new people. Fabulous service!

Excellent Hostel, not hard to see why it has such good reviews! Dorms and bathrooms very clean. No a/c, but this was not noticeable as Da Lat is cold. The staff were excellent and offered outstanding service. The free breakfast was great and the family dinner was tasty and good value. Highly recommend this hostel!

Can’t say enough about this place. They will take care of you. One local business refused to rent a scooter to me because I had no experience. Paul and Quyn went WAY above and beyond to help me fix the day, and Quyn even went with me to a different shop to sort out lessons for riding a manual transmission motorbike. WELL worth the extra $, and if you can, stay for the concert. Despacito on violin and piano was something I’ll never forget. Not a party spot, perfect for rest and recovery. 11/10!!!
